One way of delivering a more satisfying, more loyalty-driven customer experience is to play into shoppers’ desire for integrity in the companies they purchase from. TOMS Shoes—a retailer whose footwear is inspired by Argentinian designs and which donates one pair of shoes for every pair purchased—is one company that’s giving consumers a sense of charity and purpose, which keeps them coming back. And while this philanthropic model might not be right for every retailer, Infor VP of Fashion Jennifer Loverude says that the company’s ethos is an inspiration for any business that wants to take its brand and shopper experience to the next level.
